Naturally stone for this kiwi run & owned company
Stonemasonary is in the blood, for Jeff Allan, a third generation qualified NZ stonemason who started Waikato Stonecraft in the late 70s. His grandfather Jack Allan was a stonemason in Auckland in the 1920’s, his father Jim in the Waikato – nearly 100 years of crafting stone.
Waikato Stonecraft is also proud to have a highly qualified English Stonemason, City and Guilds qualified.
Jeff has a passion for granite because it's a natural material – hardy, durable and easy to care for. There are so many applications for granite and marble, from stylish bathroom vanities, to fire surrounds, pizza oven bases, BBQ areas, flooring, fire pits and even special projects like scultptures and fountains.
We use diamond tipped cutting and polishing equipment to create classic, natural stone benchtops that will last and last.
We also work with engineered stone, a man-made alternative to granite and marble, with a large colour range available.
Natural granite is millions of years old from far flung corners of the earth, created by great heat and pressure. Our granite is cut into huge blocks, then sliced into sheets and sealed before being crafted into a beautiful work surface for your home. Like our business – it has history!
We source our granite from all over the world, from Italy, to Brazil, the Amazon basin, India, China, Norway, Sweden and Afghanistan to name a few.
Granite lasts and will look as good as when you first installed it. Plus it's easy to clean and won't stain.
So come and see us, we can work with you direct if that's your preference. Come to one of our showrooms and choose your piece of granite.
